MyRO Fishing
What are those black spirals in the water? A fishing spot? What do I do there and what are the rewards? (Hint: Bloody Branches and Old Card Albums are possibilities!)
First let's start with getting your fishing rod! This can be obtained from the Fishing Trainer!
He's available around a few different towns with water in the map. The easiest accessible ones are Comodo (just south of spawn) and Dewata (available during Summer Event via Event NPC). Get your first fishing rod from him, Wooden Fishing Rod. There are two higher, better rods available, Bamboo and Metallic. You can trade in your Wooden Fishing Rod after so many catches. I believe the first upgrade is at 50 catches. You can check your score at the Fishing Trainer. Upgrading your Fishing Rod slows down the fishes speed allowing it easier to catch.
How do you fish? First with your rod, you also need bait. Your starting bait will be potions (Red, Orange, Yellow, White, Blue, and Green potions) The better the potion, the better chance to catch. Find a Fishing Spot around towns/maps. (Note these spots may come and go once you start fishing, if it disappears it will reappear in a few minutes.) Click the Fishing Spot, you will get the option to select your Fishing Rod, then select your bait.
Once you select your bait, The Fishing Spot will have a “…” emoji while you wait for a fish.
Once a fish bites, the emoji will change to a “!” emoji and your text will change to “Something has hooked on.” When the “!” appears, left click the Fishing Spot.
A chat will appear above the Fishing Spot. The goal for catching is to click the Fishing Spot when the | is between the brackets [ ]. You must click it a few times inbetween the brackets until the text reads [|] with no spaces.
Then you will have caught your fish. Some special fish carry special rewards, Bloody Branches, Old Card Albums, even the chance to spawn a mini MVP (Kraken or Crocodile). The mini MVP once killed will drop an Old Card Album.
Any regular fish caught go into your inventory and can be sold or traded at the Fishing Trainer for more/better bait, Living Earthworm. The Earthworms take place of your potions as bait and are the best available.
Now you're a fishing expert, go and catch those fish!
